After a twelve year career in computing I officially joined the Parkinson lab as a Ph.D. student in January 2007. I maintain a personal website: http://individual.utoronto.ca/crawlspace where I discuss my interests and insights on bioinformatic and the graduate student experience. Here is a brief outline of my prior experience:
B.Sc. (Honours) Specialist: Cell and Molecular Biology at UofT Scarborough (1990)
M.Sc. Dept of Molecular Biology and Genetics at the University of Guelph (1993).
Research Technician at Reichmann Research Centre (Sunnybrook Hospital) (1993-1994).
Diploma in Computer Programming and Systems Analysis at the Institute for Computer Studies (circa 1994)
CGDN Certificate in Bioinformatics conferred Sept 2004
My Research Interests include:
* Systems and Synthetic Biology
* Computer modelling
* The molecular basis of extended phenotypes (esp. designoid objects)
* Structural proteins and self-organizing systems
* Evolution
